Products division provides versatile wood-based solutions for building and housing. Our product range covers all areas of urban construction including massive wood elements and housing modules, wood components and pellets. We also offer a variety of sawn timber goods. Our customers are mainly construction and joinery companies, merchandisers and retailers. Wood Products operates globally and has more than 20 production units in Europe.

 

Stora Enso’s Wood Products division’s Building Solutions unit was established to support sales of our wooden component by showing how to use all the benefits of our wooden products. By taking an active role in developing the ecosystem we aim to capture market share from competing materials. We provide the best building solutions for our customers and make it as easy, safe and cost efficient as possible to build more in wood. For this organization we are now looking for a

Technical Sales Engineer

Description:

This new role will report directly to the Director Business Development Building Solutions. As part of the Offer and Technical Support (OTS) team you will prepare system sales offer based on Stora Enso’s optimized solution. You will provide pre-sales and sales technical advice and support about building components to our customers. As a Technical Sales Engineer you are a key stakeholder for our Business Development Managers and Sales Managers: answering queries, providing technical advice and making new offers.

 

Main responsibilities

·       Prepare the Stora Enso offer based on optimized system delivery,

·       Providing pre-sales support to business developers by doing mass calculations, pre-designing and renderings if needed based on CAD software available

·       Markets concerned: Geographically responsibilities will be divided between the members inside OTS team,

·       Create and update offers during the project development and sales phase,

·       Provide the best technical advice on building components per application based on drawings sent,

·       Review and report all hours spent on offers and technical advice. Monthly report asked per market,

·       Follow the OTS process to filter and prioritize all inputs from Sales and Business Development Managers,

·       Use pricing tool/matrix from the group and always stick to sales or business developer managers rules,

·       Update offers in CRM system to track all projects and support sales managers and business developers in that sense.

 

 

Qualification

  • Educational background: Civil Engineer or relevant. Wood Construction background requested.
  • Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development in the building / construction area.
  • Knowledge of wood construction
  • Strong technical skills and understanding.
  • Good Business English, local language dependent on markets followed
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, Finnish and Swedish are advantage
  • Very structured working approach and good self-management.
  • Highly developed team spirit
  • Proficient IT skills: Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.
  • Strong technical skills in wooden construction
  • CAD skills: Cadwork, HSBCad, etc.
  • Organizational skills

 

Location

Close to or at Stora Enso Wood Products locations in United Kingdom, Sweden, Austria, Germany, or Finland.
